After some brilliantly relaxing full body massages at Nithi’s Ayurvedic Massage Center during my vacation in Langkawi in February 2013, I had the pleasure of seeing the same master who diagnosed a pulse I had never experienced till then, and I decided to go.  In May/June of that year for 3 weeks of detox treatment at the Idyllic Clinic in Ljubljana (Slovenia).

The diagnosis revealed that I needed to detoxify my bile and liver to reduce inflammation in my back and shoulders, which was causing me significant pain and making my right arm very stiff in the mornings.  Also, I was always having stomach aches and other digestive issues, and in response I was recommended to start a special diet that eliminated certain foods.  At first it felt very restrictive, but in no time the routine became second nature as I immediately enjoyed its benefits.  Suddenly I was no longer constipated and painful diarrhea was a thing of the past.  Although I didn’t always stick to the diet, like eating a little duck or goose at Christmas and a glass of wine, overall, I liked the benefits too much to risk the best results.  While eating all the things my system couldn’t handle.  In Ljubljana I conducted a treatment program (panchakarma) including nasal irrigation (nasya), special back pain massages (lepam, kati basti), medicated enema (matra vasti/kashaya vasthi), herbal muslin bags (njavarakizhi) and hot special massage.  Forehead oil treatment (shiro dhara) with medicinal herbs.  By the end of the 3 weeks I felt really refreshed and rejuvenated, my eyes looked so white and clear and my skin was glowing.  In August I had another check-up at the Slovenian clinic where the strict diet plan was loosened.

Digestive issues are minorly less, my shoulder pain is still not completely gone but under control (I need to get a test done to see what can be done to improve it) and my general well being has greatly improved.  I feel extremely fortunate to have met Nithi and am grateful for his advice and guidance.
