I am an experienced arthritis sufferer. I have had this problem since I gave birth to my third boy (I have 4 sons). I was always hospitalized because of the high sed rate (46-48). I have been through antibiotics, hormone and immune suppression therapy. I have also had surgery for my varicose veins. About 7 years ago the doctors transferred me to the disabled group so that I could get some expensive medicines for free. This is what was applied in my position. So, I have been taking immunosuppressants for the past 13 years. During this period my sed rate remained very high, but I felt some relief from the pain from the arthritis. My left knee is in more pain and I am seriously considering knee joint implant surgery this year or next. My left leg is shorter than my right and the bones in my left leg are already so deformed that I can’t walk and stand straight. I can’t even walk if I don’t get my regular medications and glucosamine-chondroitin supplement.
My sister has previously gone to Vaidya Niti to treat her glaucoma problem and she is still doing well without any surgery. I decided to come to Kuala Lumpur to go through Panchakarma treatment. Of course, I did my homework and read a lot about Ayurveda and detoxification. The Center for Vaidya Nithi is operated as a day-time clinic, not a hospital stay or respite, as I’ve read before. But I have stayed in a nice hotel where I can also cook my special food which he suggests to me personally. The diet was easy for me, eating lots of vegetables and fruits.
Vaidya Nithi stretched my leg on the first day of treatment and from then on I could see the difference: my leg became straighter and walking became much easier. About 2 weeks after starting the treatment, a rash appeared on the back of my knee joints and in the area of my hands. It was mild but I couldn’t sleep properly for 2 nights or so because of the itching. Vaidya Nithi has previously warned me that this is a natural dehydration process. The rash cleared up within 5 days.
However, he explained to me that I would feel a difference once I got off all my immune suppressing medications and started on herbal medicine and diet. He actually showed me some very useful stretching yoga exercises that I can do anytime. The best part of exercise is that dancing benefits me as much as any positive feelings that come with listening to and dancing to Indian classical music. The four weeks of panchakarma treatment went by very quickly and now I am back home. Since I am considered a disabled person, I have to have monthly blood tests, which I did first after arriving.
To my surprise my sed rate is now 16! I haven’t had such a low sed rate since I was young. I don’t use pain killers or any other drugs now except Ayurvedic medicines. I feel some pain when walking and standing a lot. But the oil you gave me to apply on my knee joint is really helping. Just apply it regularly. Then I can walk without trouble.
Now I know I am on the right track and will be back in 5 months for a follow up treatment. Until then I wish you good luck with the very useful practice of Vaidya Nithi. I hope to be able to bring my niece to him as she has infertility problems after fallopian tube removal. See you Nithi, thanks to you and your therapists, especially Leela’s massage I needed. She has a very strong touch and hopes to see you all soon.
