Getting started
How do I request an appointment?
Use the appointment request form on the Contact page, call +386 71 113 333, or message the same number on WhatsApp. Tell us briefly what is troubling you and roughly when you could come.
How quickly will I hear back?
We come back to you with the times we can offer.
Is an appointment required, or can I come during opening hours?
The practice is open Monday to Saturday, 9:00–21:00, and consultations are arranged in advance.
What should I tell you when I first get in touch?
A sentence or two about what is troubling you, how long it has been going on, and when you could travel to Medvode. That is enough for us to tell you which consultation to start with. Please do not send detailed health history through the web form — bring it to the consultation instead.
Your first consultation
What happens during the first consultation?
The consultation centres on Nadi Pariksha — pulse reading. The pulse is read at the wrist and at the main marma points of the body to assess your constitution, your physical and mental state, and the balance of your doshas. From that reading, Vaidya Nithi advises on what should follow.
What is pulse reading, exactly?
Nadi Pariksha is a traditional method of examining the client rather than only the disease, and forms part of what the texts call Rogi Pariksha. It is regarded within Siddha and Ayurveda as the most direct of the method of assessments. It relies on a practitioner’s developed skill and experience rather than on equipment, and is rarely practised today even among Ayurvedic doctors.
How should I prepare?
Fast for four hours before the appointment. Water is fine — nothing else. This is what makes the reading precise.
Can the consultation be done online?
Yes — an online consultation is available for €101 for clients who cannot travel. Pulse reading itself requires an in-person visit, so an online consultation covers guidance on diet, daily routine and herbs based on your history and symptoms.
The treatment programme
How is a therapy programme chosen?
From the pulse reading. Nothing is decided in advance and there are no fixed packages — what you receive is assembled for you, and adjusted as things change.
Are diet and lifestyle part of it?
Yes, and they carry a lot of the work. Proper discipline, diet, exercise, rest and daily routine are treated as part of the therapy rather than as an optional extra. Vaidya Nithi discourages clients from following diet plans found elsewhere without a consultation first — what suits one constitution may not suit another.
Are herbs and oils included?
Where they are appropriate, yes. Only chemical-free materials are used, and nothing tested on animals.
Is the practice residential or outpatient? Is accommodation arranged?
The practice is outpatient. Treatment sessions take place at the practice and you return to your own accommodation afterwards — overnight stays are not offered and accommodation is not arranged. There is a small car park at the practice.
How do follow-ups work?
A shorter check-up (€25) is available in person to review progress and adjust your plan. For clients who have travelled from abroad, an online consultation (€101) means support can continue once you are home.
Practical information
Where is the practice?
Spodnje Pirniče 19j, 1215 Medvode, Slovenia — a short drive from Ljubljana. There is also an office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
What are the opening hours?
Monday to Saturday, 9:00–21:00.
Which languages do you speak?
Consultations are held in English and Slovenian.
Can international visitors attend?
Yes. Clients travel to the practice from across Europe and beyond, and online consultations are available for those who cannot.
Are prices shown online?
The three consultations are priced: pulse reading €101, online consultation €101, check-up €25. Therapy programmes are quoted individually after the first assessment, because what is appropriate is only known after the pulse reading.
Is parking available?
Yes. There is a small car park at the practice.
Safety and expectations
Does Ayurvedic care replace conventional healthcare?
No. Everything offered here is complementary. It does not take the place of being seen, assessed or treated by a qualified doctor, and it is never a substitute for emergency care. If your situation calls for a doctor’s attention, we will say so.
Are results guaranteed?
No. No outcome is guaranteed. Results depend on the individual, on the condition, and to a considerable degree on how closely the guidance — particularly the diet — is followed.
Are there any contraindications?
Some therapies are not appropriate in every situation. That is one of the reasons the assessment comes first — what suits you is decided there, in person, rather than assumed in advance. If you have any reason to think a therapy may not suit you, say so when you book and we will advise. We do not ask for health records through this website.
What should I do if I react badly to a treatment?
Contact us as soon as you can so the plan can be adjusted. If a reaction is severe or you are worried about your immediate health, seek a doctor’s attention or contact emergency services first.
How is my personal and health information handled?
Information you send is used only to arrange and provide your care. Health details are recorded at the consultation rather than through the website’s general contact form, which is not a secure channel for them.
Nothing matches that search. Try a different word, or ask us directly.
