Privacy policy

What we do with information you send through this website, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under GDPR.

Last updated 3 August 2026.

This policy explains what Nithi Ayurveda does with information you send through this website. It is written to meet the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Slovenian Personal Data Protection Act (ZVOP-2).

The short version. We collect only what you type into the appointment form. We use it to answer you and arrange an appointment. We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and we deliberately do not ask for health records through this website. This site sets no cookies and runs no trackers.

Who is responsible

Nithi Ayurveda, Spodnje Pirniče 19j, 1215 Medvode, Slovenia — telephone +386 71 113 333, email info@nithiayurveda.com — is the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect, and why

The appointment request form

Your name, email address, country, an optional telephone number, which service you are asking about, and the short message you write.

We use it for one purpose: to reply to you and arrange an appointment. The lawful basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.

The testimonial form

Your name, email address, country, how you would like your name shown, and the account you write. The lawful basis is your consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, given by ticking the permission box. Nothing is published until the practice has reviewed it, and you may withdraw consent at any time by writing to us — we will remove it.

Health information

Information about your health is special category data under Article 9 GDPR and carries stronger protection than ordinary contact details.

We do not ask for it through this website. The appointment form asks only for a sentence about what you would like help with — not for medical records, medication lists, diagnoses or medical history. A general web form is not a secure channel for that kind of information, so we have designed the site not to request it.

Please do not type detailed health information into the form. If you do, we will use it only to answer your enquiry and will not keep it longer than necessary.

Anything discussed during a consultation at the practice is kept confidentially by the practice and is not held on this website or on any web server.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an appointment are deleted within twelve months. Where an appointment follows, correspondence is kept for as long as you remain a client of the practice and for a reasonable period afterwards. Published testimonials are kept until you ask us to remove them.

Who else sees it

Messages sent through this website are transmitted by our web host and email provider, who act as processors on our instructions and may not use the information for their own purposes.

We do not sell your information, do not share it for marketing, and do not transfer it outside the European Economic Area.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no social media trackers. Fonts are served from this website itself rather than from Google, so no request leaves your browser for a third party and your IP address is not shared with anyone.

See the cookie policy for detail.

Your rights

Under GDPR you may ask us to:

  • tell you what information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct anything inaccurate;
  • delete what we hold, where there is no overriding reason to keep it;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • provide it in a portable form;
  • withdraw consent you have given, at any time — this does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

Write to us at the address or telephone number above. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you believe we have handled your information improperly you may complain to the Slovenian supervisory authority:
